Alan Blood

It is with great sadness that the family of Alan Dale Blood announces his passing on June 25, 2025. He passed peacefully at his home.

Alan was born in Sturgis, Michigan on October 1, 1947, to Milo and Evelyn (Smith) Blood. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Shawn, on January 28, 2009.

He is survived by his daughter, Aimee (Jim) Buggie, along with their three children: Jacob, Connor, and Chloe. He is also survived by his brothers, Bob and Mikel; his sister, Janice Sipsock; and many nieces and nephews.

Alan graduated from Ferris State University and worked as a tool and die maker specializing in plastic injection molds. He went on to found Integra Mold in 1983, where he proudly served as a business owner for 36 years.

Alan was a devoted father and a cherished “Papa”. He will always be remembered for his deep love for family, his kindness, and his passion for life. A proud and avid golfer, Al was thrilled to achieve a hole-in-one during a tournament at Lake View Golf Course in 1993. It was the 12th hole, 159 yards, a par 3. Indian Run Golf Course was his treasured place, where he was a member for over 50 years. He also had a lifelong love for bowling and celebrated many 300 games, often enjoying the sport with family and friends.

Al lived a life well-lived. Those who touch our lives stay in our hearts forever.

At Al’s request, there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. While at www.amsfuneralhomes.com please take time to sign Alan's guestbook and/or share a memory with his family.

The Blood family is being cared for by the Avink, McCowen & Secord Funeral Homes and Cremation Society, 129 S. Grand Street, Schoolcraft, MI 49087. 269-679-5622.
