Taylor and Madison walked over to grandma D's house to eat store bought peanut butter cookies and fig newtons.Grandma was also known for her toy drawer with a red string attached. When we stopped by, Grandma was always watching the Hallmark Channel.

Our deep condolences to your family. Becky and I enjoyed our interactions with Barb over the years. She helped organize our wedding reception at First Baptist in 1987! I"m sure she did that for many people :) We'll always remember her for her smile, hugs, and encouragement to us! Steve and Becky Swope

Jeanne and Mark, Our family was sad to hear of the loss of your mother. She was one of the best neighbors we had growing up. We were the only kids on the block allowed to play in their yard and they always give us full size candy bars on Halloween. She was so kind and so sweet to us as kids. Our condolences go out to you and the family and all those who have lost a truly incredible woman. -Wendy, Frankie and Brenna Whitney

Dear Jeanne and Mark, Your Mom was always so kind to us as kids. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and playing billiards in the basement. The loss of a parent is very hard but you were fortunate that God let her be with you a goodly time. We will keep you both in our prayers in this time of sorrow. God bless you both. May your Mom rest in Peace. Dan and Jeanne Handley

Jeanne and Mark, Im so sorry to hear of your moms passing. She was such a sweet lady and always greeted me with a hug whenever I would run into her. And she always looked so pretty and well-put-together! She was a good friend to my mom and they sure enjoyed their Tigers! I remember hearing stories of when your parents and mine would go to Detroit to see the Tigers play at the old Tiger Stadium. Sweet memories of a special lady. Sending my condolences and love to you and your families. Barb Kortes
