Barry Mitchell Whitman Sr.

Barry Mitchell Whitman, Sr., a longtime resident of Constantine, went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2022, at the age of 70.

Mitchell is survived by his children: Hotrod Whitman, Sissy (Terry) Cousins, Wendy (Donnie) Lowrey; Grandchildren: Ashley Binkley, Alexis, Haylie, Donavin Lowrey; Great Grandchild Josie Binkley; Brothers: Randell Walden, Everett Whitman; Sisters: Jean Mcmahan, Julie Young, Margret (Bob) Gould, Connie (Kirk) Young.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Helen Whitman; his parents Charlene and Grady Walden, John Whitman; sisters: Carolynn Stroder, Ada Smith, Idonia Tullos; brothers: Billy Earl (Squirrel) Walden.

Mitchell was born in Manchester, Tenn. on June 24, 1951. He retired from Gray Brothers in White Pigeon, Michigan. Mitchell served in the Air Force. He enjoyed camping, spending time with family, fishing, going on vacations and sitting in his garage watching traffic pass by.

Mitchell will be missed more than words can express. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Christian Fellowship Center in Sturgis.
