Betty Slack

Betty J. Slack of Sherman Lake, Augusta, MI died on August 20, 2025. She was born on July 31, 1925 in Hazel Park, MI, eventually making her home in Augusta.

Betty was truly one of God's Angels loaned to this world for 100 amazing years! She saw and did so many things in her lifetime including driving for Gull Lake ambulance, Chaplain for the women's auxiliary Augusta post, organizing the local Art show and working local elections. She loved talking with people. Betty was a long time member of Yorkville Community Church 

Betty went through her whole life with her beautiful smile and she always had a kind word for everyone. She was a special wife, mother, grandma and great grandma. 

Her smile and sweet heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Betty was one of God's greatest creations!

She is preceded in death by husband Charles, son Randy, brothers John and Bob and sister Alice and her parents.

Betty is survived by daughters Wendy Orbeck (Dave), Lori Hite (Mike), Kim Blaisdell (Keith). Grandchildren; Brandon, Kerri, Cody, Shane and Katie. Great Grandchildren; Austin and Skyler. 

A private ceremony for immediate family will take place at the Fort Custer National Cemetery where she will be buried with her husband.
