Byron Brazier

His health gave way and Byron J. Brazier of Plainwell, MI entered heaven on October 2, 2021, at the age of 87. Since cradle roll, he’d been a part of First Baptist Church of Plainwell. He’s worked at the James River Paper Mill in Parchment for 41 years. He was very proud of his British and Scottish heritage. Byron was known for sharing stories which left people smiling and laughing. He was preceded in passing by his parents: Robert (Bob) and Myrtha (Chapman/Campbell) Brazier; wife of 55 years: Ardis (Culver) Brazier; sisters: Erline (Campbel/Brazier) Lober and Billie (Brazier) Wilkes; brothers-in-law: Raymond Lober and Fred Wilkes; niece: Raylene (Lober) Riston, nephew: Tim Wilkes and great daughter-in-law: Cyndi (Schwanz) Brazier. He will be greatly missed by his sons: Brian (Cheryl) and Aaron (Michelle) Brazier; grandchildren: Byron (Paige), Benson, Brandon, Brent (Kayla), James (Lauran) Brazier, and Jenelle (Simon) Ashbrook; great grandchildren: Analyse and Elliot Brazier, Kya Ashbrook, Oswald Brazier, Scarlett Brazier and Mila Ashbrook; step grandchildren: Marcus Brown, Mikaedam and Kadriel Knoll, Marlie Jo Cahill and Riley Mercer. Also, his niece and nephews and Ardis’ Sister in Christ: Linda Kimble. In accordance with the family’s wishes funeral services will be held at McCowen and Secord Family Funeral Homes Marshall–Gren Chapel, 120 South Woodhams St, Plainwell, MI, 49080, on Saturday, October 9, 2021, with a public visitation starting at 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM with Pastor George Osborn officiating. Byron will be laid to rest with his late wife at Hillside Cemetery on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 12:00 PM. Memorials made in Byron’s memory may be made to First Baptist Church of Plainwell.
