Carole Jean Stanski of Portage Michigan passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of July 14th, 2026. Carole was born October 30, 1931, in Kalamazoo Michigan where she has resided most of her life. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Alice Gemberling, and by her husband Charlie Stanski, Charlie’s son, Mark Stanski, and granddaughter, Susan Monroe Lukowski. She is survived by her son, Michael Monroe of Three Rivers MI, daughter Jayne Monroe of Phoenix AZ, by her sister Phyllis Mills of Roscommon MI, and Charlie’s children, Laura Stevens of Colorado, David Stanski of Michigan, Mary Kay Morgan and Lynne Lion of Florida, and Kristine Stanski of Minnesota; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

After retirement Carole and Charlie enjoyed being active by golfing and bowling and Carole especially enjoyed playing bridge. Carole was devoted to her faith and remained active in her church community. She lived by a strong set of values which was evident in the way she cared for others. Carole always prioritized her family and friends; her love and kindness has touched a vast number of people who loved her in return. She will be dearly missed.
