Christopher Lindow

My beloved son Christopher John Lindow, age 54, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed unexpectedly on February 15, 2025.

Christopher came into the world on May 6, 1970, in Warren Michigan to parents Marilyn Janice Lindow (Kirkland) and Michael Steven Lindow. He grew up in Roseville Michigan where he played youth sports and found lifelong friends. He graduated from Roseville High School. He was very smart and knew a lot about history. Chris joined the U.S Army after graduation until discharged for an unforeseen injury. He then continued his education at Macomb Community College and University where he earned an Associate Degree of Arts.

His unexpected passing comes as a shock to his family, friends, and loved ones including his co-workers at where Chris worked as a Security Guard. His boss said he was one of his best and was a reliable worker. He loved sports and analyzed sports data. He wrote stats daily and collected a lot of sports memorabilia. He also collected coins and comic books throughout the years. He was independent, loved going to work, talking to people, and became the son and brother you could count on. He was helpful and would do the grocery shopping, shovel the snow and was always available to help. He was taken far too soon.

Chris had a solemn and serious nature, but his support for those he loved was unwavering.

Whether it was offering guidance during difficult times or standing up for what he believed in, he did so with a quiet strength that inspired all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy will continue to impact the lives of those he touched. We’ll carry forward his lessons of faith, love, and service. Rest in peace, Chris. We will forever be grateful for your presence in our lives.

Christopher is survived by his mother Marilyn Lindow (Kirkland), sister Deborah Lindow- Hernandez, and brother Michael E. Lindow. Chris is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles, his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Michael Lindow, grandparents Edward and Ruth Lindow, and grandparents James and Mary Kirkland.

In lieu of a traditional funeral, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are planning a celebration of life for Christopher at a later date to share stories and memories, and to celebrate his life.
