Collette R. Fullmer

Collette R. Fullmer, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 90. She was born on January 15, 1933, and lived a life filled with love, strength, and cherished family bonds.

Collette faced life's challenges with unwavering resilience, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years: Charles Fullmer Sr. on December 4, 2001, as well as her daughters Karen, who passed away in 1985, and Becky, who joined them on July 6, 2020. Their memories will forever remain etched in the tapestry of Collette's life.

Left to honor her memory are her four children: Douglas (June) Fullmer, Charles (Jenny) Fullmer Jr., Camilla Fullmer, and Jefferey (Jackie) Fullmer. Collette's love for her children knew no bounds, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting them. She found immense joy and pride in witnessing their growth, accomplishments, and the families they created.

Collette's legacy lives on through her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were a source of endless delight for her. Each grandchild and great-grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she embraced the role of matriarch with warmth, love, and unwavering guidance.

A memorial mass to celebrate Collette's life will be held on June 10, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Augustine Cathedral, 542 W Michigan Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Following the service, a reception will be held where family and friends can gather to share cherished memories and stories. Collette will be laid to rest with her late husband at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Kalamazoo, MI.

Collette R. Fullmer will forever be remembered for her love, compassion, and the enduring impact she had on the lives of her family. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
