Curtis "Curt" J. Williams of Plainwell, MI, passed away on March 29, 2025, at Borgess Medical Center.
Curt was a devoted husband to Laurie (Ekema) Williams for 38 wonderful years. Together, they built a life full of love and laughter, raising two beautiful daughters, Tiffany and Taylor. He was also a proud grandfather to Alena May, who brought him immeasurable joy.
After graduating from high school, Curt honorably served four years in the United States Air Force. Following his service, he built a long and respected career with Terry's Road Service and Grand Davo Crane, retiring after many dedicated years.
Curt's greatest passion was music-he was a talented drummer and had a deep appreciation for all types of music. Known to many as "Captain Curt," he could often be found boating and fishing in South Haven, the family's cherished weekend retreat for many years.
He was a man with a heart of gold, always ready to lend a hand and bring a smile to others. His sharp sense of humor and generosity touched everyone who knew him. Curt truly embodied the phrase, "He'd give you the shirt off his back."
He will be deeply missed by his loving family, countless friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A public memorial service will be held at the VFW Hall in Otsego, 124 N Farmer St, Otsego, MI 49078 on May 10th at 4:00 PM.
In honor of Curt's memory, donations may be made to the VFW Otsego.
