Darell Duane Iobe

Darell Duane Iobe, age 69, of Vicksburg, MI passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Battle Creek, MI on November 7, 1950 the son of Duane H. and Dorothy M. (Smith) Iobe. He was raised in the Athens-Colon area, graduating from Athens High School. Darell honorably served his country in the United States Navy. On September 23, 1978 he married the love of his life Tammy Sue Fulkerson. They moved to Vicksburg in 1978 and together they had two wonderful children that they are extremely proud of: Rebecca “Becca” Alcorn and Scott Iobe. He worked 35 years at Milwood Auto Parts before rounding out his career at Martin Spring and Drive. During retirement he loved attending tractor shows, playing with his John Deere Tractors, putzing around the barn, and camping with his loved ones. He is preceded in his passing by his parents and his in-laws Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife: Tammy Iobe; children: Rebecca (J.C.) Alcorn of Sault Ste. Marie, MI and Scott (Robin Hubbard) Iobe of Lexington, KY; grandchildren: Alena, Madison, and Jeffery Alcorn; siblings: Dianne, Bill, Margie, Mary, and Rusty, their spouses; brothers and sisters in-law and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Wakeshma Community Church, 16732 East UV Avenue, Fulton, MI 49052, on Saturday, August 29, 2020 with an hour of visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David Mackaluso officiating. Please bring a mask. Following the service family and friends may gather at the Iobe residence, 1550 East Y Avenue, Vicksburg, MI 49097 to share in memories and food.
