David William Allen

David William Allen passed away on July 3, 2020 in Kalamazoo. He was born on July 28, 1941 in Kalamazoo, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Jane Allen. David is survived by Linda Allen, his wife of 47 years; two brothers: James (Katie) Allen and Larry (Elaine) Allen; his sister Helen Burgraaf; children: Sherri (Jeff Plunkett) Gaylor and Lori (Paul) Stevens; A stepson Jeff (Renae) Johnson; grandchildren: Morgan (Chris) Slater, Danielle (Isaac) Lavariega, Tyler (Hannah Sparks) Stevens and five great grandchildren. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He retired after many years working at Graphic Packaging in Parchment. He was an avid camper for many years when he was younger. A graveside Memorial Service is scheduled on July 28, 2020 at 1:00pm at Fort Custer National Cemetery located at 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta, MI 49012. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, Fort Custer National Cemetery is limiting services to a maximum of 40 attendees, masks required.
