Diana Lynn Allen April 2, 1953 – October 10, 2025 Portage, Michigan

Diana Lynn Allen, age 72, of Portage, Michigan, formerly of Grand Junction, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo.

Diana was preceded in death by her first husband, Mark DeYoung; her second husband, Dennis Allen; her parents, Robert and Helen Johnson; and her brother, Brad Johnson.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Bill (Mary Ellen) DeYoung and Heather (Jack) Emmons; her cherished grandchildren, Mark and Christopher DeYoung; her sister, Roberta (John) Mitchell; and her brother, Bruce (Cheryl) Johnson.

Diana dedicated many years of her life to her work at Dale’s Market and later Gil’s Market in Comstock, as well as MPI Research (now Charles River Laboratories) in Mattawan. She was known for her strong work ethic, her resilience, and her unwavering devotion to her family.

After a long and courageous battle with COPD and emphysema, Diana found peace surrounded by love and care. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private interment will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in gratitude for the compassionate care they provided.
