Donna Mae Hill

Donna M. Hill, age 84, of Portage, MI passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 28, 2020. She was born in Sheboygan, WI on May 3, 1936 the daughter of Karl and Elsie (Jurk) Laue. Donna married Robert “Bob” Hill on July 25, 1959 in Sheboygan, WI. She has been described by her children as an angel on earth, Donna enjoyed a full and joyous life. Their 60 years in Maestro Acres brought them many neighbors who became lifelong friends. Throughout her life she devoted her time to raising her family, babysitting neighbor kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and working as an office manager at Griffin Pest Control. Outside of family, she enjoyed time with her Topps group, Encore Club, and working the flu shot clinics each year. While their children were off raising their own families, Donna and Bob made time to travel the world. She was a lifelong member of St. Catherine of Siena in Portage, MI. She is preceded in her passing by her husband: Robert Hill, her parents and her siblings: Richard Laue and Charles Laue; son in-law: Mark McCarty; and great granddaughter: Eden Hill Left to cherish her loving memory are her children: Laurie (Jack) Brennan, Brian (Dottie) Hill, Rod (Kim) Hill, and Julie McCarty; grandchildren: Nicole (Shawn), Adam (Jessie), Christopher, Amanda (Rylan), Zak, Mackenzie, Heather (Jon), Jennifer, Katie, Joshua (Kendra), Andrew (Paige), Amy, and Alex; great grandchildren: Marshall, Zelda, Gavin, Kagen, Henley, Chelsea, Makenna, Lily, Rylan, Ember, Darian, Kaliyah, Raphael, Rylan, Joshua, and a baby girl due in May, Kaleb, Madison, and Harper. In accordance with Donna’s wishes cremation has taken place and public services will be held on a later date. Memorials made in Donna’s memory may be directed to Saint Catherine’s Children’s Ministry, 1150 W. Centre Avenue, Portage, MI 49024.
