Dorothy A. Carpenter

Dorothy A. Carpenter, of Kalamazoo, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the age of 77. Dorothy was born on January 23, 1944 in Blytheville, AR. She is the daughter of Paul & Ora (Williams) Winn. She believed in the goodness of people, and touched not only her family’s lives, but the lives of others who were put in her life wherever she was, every day. Lifelong master of decorating, an avid gardener, a wonderful mother and grandmother, and a loyal wife. Her home was always put together and vibrant. She was good at making things work. She brought her positive spirit to every situation in her life and others. She spread that joy wherever she went, to whomever she met. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Gordon; her five children: William (Lisa) Hartman, Paula Hartman, Cindy (Jerry) DuVall, Kelly (Julia Siple) Carpenter, Brian (Kyley) Carpenter; stepson: Shad Carpenter; eighteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
