Edward L. Elliott, of Kalamazoo passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the age of 66. He was born on August 13, 1958, in Kalamazoo. Ed was the son of George and Grace “Mara” (Smith) Elliott . Ed lived a life full of dedication, love, and laughter, leaving behind fond memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Ed attended Kalamazoo public schools, and Loy Norrix High School. For over 20 years, Ed devoted himself to his career as a truck driver for B & B Trucking, Inc. He exemplified the work ethic and determination that defined his character.

Family meant everything to Ed. He reveled in gatherings where loved ones would come together, often taking the lead in cooking on the grill. His caring nature and family-oriented mindset endeared him to those who were fortunate enough to know him. Ed was known for his sense of humor, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood, and he carried an old-school charm that made everyone feel comfortable in his presence.

In addition to his professional life, Ed had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing whenever he could. He found peace and happiness working on his lawn and tending to his garden. His woodworking skills were notable, as he crafted various pieces that reflected his creativity and craftsmanship. Recently, he had reignited his interest in airbrushing, showcasing his artistic flair and willingness to embrace new projects. He enjoyed the thrill and adrenaline of the rc hobbie and sharing his passion for it with others.

Ed was a proud father to his two daughters, Kristy and Brittany, and a devoted grandfather to his four grandchildren. He cherished every moment spent with them, feeling immense pride in their achievements and the joy they brought into his life. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to live on through his family and friends.

Edward L. Elliott's departure is felt deeply by all. He will be remembered not just for his accomplishments but for the heart and humor he shared with those he loved. His spirit will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents: George and Mara Elliott; and sister: Vickie Elliott.

He is survived by his two daughters: Kristy Elliott (James Criffield), of Grand Junction and Brittany (Donald) Johnson, of South Haven; four grandchildren: Tiffany Redmon, Lacy Johnson, Kaylie Johnson and Ian Phillips. He is also survived by his three siblings: Vonnie (Richard) DeAnda, of Kalamazoo; Gerald (Sue) Elliott, of Schoolcraft; and George “Butch” (Tammy) Elliott, of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews.

Ed has been cremated, and no services are scheduled at this time.
