Edward Waterhouse

WATERHOUSE, Edward Portage Passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Edward was born April 12, 1928 the son of Edward and Florence (Forgue) Waterhouse. Ed was very active in the Boy Scouts. Ed served in the US Navy from 1945 to 1949 and retired from the US Postal service in 1981. A member of NARFE and a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Portage. Ed was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed camping, the outdoors and traveling. On May 6, 1950 he married Helen Branch who survives. Also surviving are 4 children; Thomas (Anisa) Waterhouse of Garrett, IN, Sue (Richard) Pitts of Greencastle, IN, Mark (Rita) Waterhouse of Battle Creek and Bryan (Karen) Waterhouse of Vicksburg and 11 grandchildren. At his request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11am Monday March 28, 2011 at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church 9420 Portage Rd. with Rev. Joan Herbon officiating. Interment of cremains will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery the same day at 2pm. Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
