A candle was lit in memory of Elizabeth Newhouse

Elizabeth lived across the street from us, and became a frequent babysitter for me. I called her Mama. She taught me how to make candy and she let me help her with whatever project she was doing. She always loved me, and that is a gift that will stay with me to the end of my days. May her memory be a blessing to all that knew her.

A great lady is present with our Lord!
My memories of "Mama Newhouse": she made a great grilled cheese sandwich, she always had Christian radio turned on, she let us help pull clothes through her ringer washing machine, and she led a prayer before the car left her driveway.
Well done faithful servant!

Elizabeth lived a life centered around her Christian faith! I spoke with my oldest daughter yesterday as she shared memories of Elizabeth. In the end she stated "I loved that lady!"

We will never forget her! She was a fixture at OCHOG, I think she was there whenever the doors were open. We always saw her working in her yard on Riverview Dr, while going home. Our sincere condolences to the family in this loss. She was a wonderful lady!
