Enrique Giillermo Martinez

MARTINEZ, Enrique G. Parchment Enrique died Monday, January 21, 2013 at Kairos Dwelling after a courageous battle against bladder cancer. He was born October 10, 1934 in Chicago and was a die-hard Cubs fan from an early age. He enjoyed a successful career as a vocalist, organist and composer, retiring in 1981. He is survived by his wife "Graciela" (Grace Pratt) Martinez; his sons Kevin and Enrique and their brother Arthur of Flint, MI, and Enrique of Oklahoma City, OK; siblings Joseph Martin, Richard Silverman, Zandrea Silverman, Selena Silverman, Nathaniel Henry, Natalie Marshall; and many nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Mildred (Clark) Martin; siblings Marie Blanks, Regina Blackmon, Laura Henderson, Antoine Silverman, and Cheryl Silverman; and his first wife, Beverly Richardson. A memorial service will be held at the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home 917 S. Burdick, Kalamazoo, Mi 49001 on Saturday, January 26. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. followed by the service at 1 p.m., with Marvin Liggins officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jehovah's Witnesses World Wide Work or to Kairos Dwelling.
