Eric William Musselman of Vicksburg, Michigan, passed away on September 6, 2026 at the age of thirty-four. Following a cardiac arrest six days earlier, he passed away peacefully, with his devoted family gathered around him. True to who he was, Eric fought like hell to stay with his people. Eric is survived by his loving wife, Heather (Moseley) Musselman; his beautiful daughter, Ellie Jean Musselman; his cherished parents, Steve and Cathy (Resseguie) Musselman; and a loving family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched along the way.

Eric lived a full life in a short time. He was a happy child who enjoyed many days on Lake Michigan, afternoons in the woods, and late nights bowfishing. He played baseball into adulthood as a college pitcher with a wicked submarine pitch. Eric was most himself when outdoors, and he had a deep commitment to wildlife conservation. He was passionate about sharing hunting and fishing with his family, teaching Heather how to do both the moment they started dating. His creative spirit shone through when he taught Ellie to make her own pretty lures while sitting at the dining room table. More than anything, Eric loved being a husband and father, spending countless happy hours passing down this piece of himself to his girls.

Born with a heart condition, Eric faced it head-on with the same determination he brought to everything in life. In the months before his passing, he had been working with the University of Michigan and Cleveland Clinic to be registered for a heart and liver transplant. For this reason, Eric’s family believed he would have wanted to support others through organ donation. Even in his passing, he continued to give. Eric fought for every extra moment with his family, and in his final act, he gave others the chance to keep fighting too. He will be deeply missed and forever loved. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, at the home of his parents, Steve and Cathy, at 2:00pm.
