Evelyn Pianowski

Evelyn Jane Pianowski passed away at home in Plainwell on April 16, 2025, at the age of 93, surrounded by family. Evelyn was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on March 27, 1932, to the late Harry and La Von McCormick.

Evelyn was a special education teacher who loved to travel when she could. She spent time living in North Carolina and Florida before moving back home to Michigan to be close to family.

Evelyn is survived by her son Kim (Rose) Sutherland, grandchildren Damon (Kerri) Kahlmorgan, Tim Kahlmorgan, Dion (Meg) Buchino, Nate Buchino, Brandon (Sarah) Buchino, Mark Sutherland, Amanda Mulder, 17 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cal Pianowski, her siblings, and her two daughters Deb Sutherland and Judy Kahlmorgan.

In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public services.
