Frederic Wayne Patchett

February 12, 1959 – July 13, 2026

Frederic Wayne Patchett, age 67, of Allegan, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, at Medilodge of Portage, with his beloved wife by his side. Fred met his final days following a courageous 22-month battle with cancer, facing his illness with the same strength and resilience that defined his life.

Born in Allegan to David and Violet Patchett, Fred grew up with a deep devotion to community and home. Above all else, Fred’s greatest joy was his family. After reuniting in 2012, he married his teenage sweetheart, Toni Dell Patchett, on October 19, 2013. Together, they built a life rich in love, laughter, and unwavering mutual support.

Fred was a devoted father to his four children from a previous marriage: Joel (Carly) Patchett, Emma Patchett, Jasmine (Cady) Cooper, and Hannah (Ben) Jordan. He was also a proud and loving grandfather to 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense light to his life.

For 27 years, Fred was a dedicated employee with Boar’s Head Provisions in Holland. To Fred, it was never just a job, it was a second family. He genuinely cared for his colleagues, and both he and Toni remained deeply grateful for the overwhelming love and support extended to them by the Boar's Head community throughout his journey with illness.

Equipped with a quick smile and a creative spirit, Fred found happiness in the simple pleasures. He loved playing guitar and singing silly campfire songs to amuse his family, and he was rarely seen without a camera ready to capture life’s memorable moments. Sunset cruises and relaxing visits to the lakeshore were among his most cherished pastimes.

Fred’s legacy of unconditional love, quiet strength, steadfast kindness, and extraordinary generosity will endure in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
