Gary Sisson, age 84, of Scotts, Michigan passed away with his family at his side on August 26, 2026.

He was born on August 18, 1942, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Wesley and Margarette (Carroll) Sisson.

Gary will be remembered as a dedicated husband, devoted father and grandfather. He and the love of his life, Valerie (Taft) Sisson, shared thirty-two years of marriage and have been together for thirty-eight years. During those years, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, family, and countless cherished memories.

Gary graduated from Vicksburg High School in 1960. After graduation he worked delivering milk and cheese for Cool Farm Dairy. He also began training as plumber and pipefitter. When he was 25 years old, he was drafted into the Army where he served his country proudly for two years.

In 1987, Gary met a bar tender named Valerie at a bar in the U.P. They hit it off and they were together ever since. They were married on July 1, 1994

Gary enjoyed the outdoors: hunting and fishing. He also loved cars. He raced in his younger years and never lost his love for them.

Gary is survived by his wife, Valerie; his daughter Heather (Jim) Sullivan, his son Chris (Christina) Postma and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Judy.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a burial with military honors is being planned at Ft. Custer later.
