Genevieve Natalie Kline

Genevieve Natalie Kline, of Kalamazoo, passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 98.

Born on April 23, 1927, in Dowagiac, Michigan, Genevieve was the daughter of Lila Russell and Harold Howes, and the eldest of three siblings. She was preceded in death by her brother Russell Howes and sister Nancy Conyer.

On September 29, 1944, she married Richard A. Reed, with whom she shared four daughters: Kathleen Calkins, Rosemary (Paul) Komar, Karen (Larry) Wagar, and Debra (Charles) Moore. After Richard’s passing in 1997, Genevieve later married Robert Kline in 2001. He preceded her in death in 2010.

Genevieve will be remembered for her strength, independence, and sharp wit. She had a lifelong love of gardening and sewing in her early years and later found joy in reading and solving jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her four daughters, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward with love.
