George “Woody” V Wood, Jr (aka Woody Houston and Wooster), of Kalamazoo passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the age of 56. He was born on August 28, 1966 in Pontiac, MI. He was the son of George Sr and Freda (Allmon) Wood. Woody was married to Colleen Wood. He was known by fans of WKFR 103.3 as radio host, Woody Houston, and his biker friends as Wooster. He was also a chef at Vanderbilt hospital in Nashville, TN. Riding motorcycles, cooking and music where some of his passions. He enjoyed cooking and going to garage sales with his wife. He attended Cornerstone Church on Romance Road. He was loved by so many people and his humor will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen; parents: George and Freda Wood; brother Eric (Mel) Wood; two sisters: Marina (Aliu) Ciolos, Diana ( Eli) Woods. He is also survived by nieces and nephew; three stepsons: James McKee, Josh Moreno, and Justin Moreno; step granddaughter and son Kiara Mckee Bregg and Joseph Bregg; and step great grandson Dylan aka “dilly bean” who brought Woody so much joy in the last months of his life.
