Geraldine "Jerry" York

Geraldine “Jerry” York, of Portage, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2021 at the age of 91. Jerry was born on February 2, 1930 in Grand Rapids, MI. She was the daughter of Edward and Teresa (Maciejewski) Hansen. Jerry liked to play pickleball, workout, and go for walks. She was a master seamstress with Gilmore’s Department Store. She always loved to spend time in her gardens and doing yard work. Jerry is survived her children, Bonnietta, Craig, Lugene, and Dana; grandchildren, Sarah, Emilie, Anna, Chris, Annica, and Skyler; 7 great grandchildren; and sister, Ruth LaRoche. Jerry is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene York; her parents; and her brother, Edward.
