Harry “Butch” Clifford Ettwein, age 76, of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away peacefully September 6th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 28, 1950, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Butch was the Son of Harry Ettwein and Donna Winn who preceded him in death.

Butch dedicated his years as maintenance supervisor at the ISB building and then it changed to Comerica downtown Kalamazoo. He then went on to work at family and children services on Lake St.

Butch met the love of his life Lorrie, and they were married 50 wonderful years. He was a loving father and husband. He was immensely proud of all his children and grandchildren.

Outside of his family he had a passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and the woods. He was funny, sweet, and stubborn. He loved black coffee, sweets and going out to eat. He ended each and every night with a game of dice.

Butch is survived by his Wife Lorrie, his children Lissa Merchan, Nicole (Kevin) Goodyke, Andrew (Tiffany) Ettwein, his sisters Joyce Dill and Pat Rayman as well as 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Family will hold a private Celebration of life.
