Heidi Ellan Stucki, DVM - Galesburg, Michigan

Dr. Stucki passed away on May 30, 2026, at Cedar Ponds, the rural home in Galesburg she had shared with her husband for more than 25 years.

Heidi was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on April 28, 1954, to Jacob and Naomi Stucki; the family moved to Kalamazoo shortly afterward. She attended Kalamazoo Public Schools, then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Michigan State University in 1977.

She owned and managed Shaver Road Animal Hospital in Portage from 1984 until 2012.

Heidi is survived by her husband Philip Larson; sister Marcia V. Stucki of Galesburg; brother J. Christopher Stucki (Catherine Pelech) of Evanston; nephew Jacob C. Stucki III of Evanston; and niece Calin C. Stucki of Chicago. She is also, of course, survived by numerous beloved cats, dogs, and horses.

An open house celebration of Heidi's life will be held on Sunday, August 9, from 2pm until 5 pm at The Park Club of Kalamazoo, 219 West South Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
