Henry Denney Jr

December 14, 1945 — April 6, 2025

Henry Denney Jr

Henry Jefferson Denney, born on December 14, 1945, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and humor. A proud Army veteran, Henry served his country with honor in Vietnam and was discharged with distinction. His time in the service was just one chapter of a life filled with dedication to others.

When Henry married his late wife, Shirley, he not only gained a life partner but also embraced her children—Mynde, Kelli, and Dan—as his own. Over the years, he was never just their stepdad; he became their Dad, showing them a love that transcended titles.

Henry is survived by his children, Kelli Travis, Mynde Garcia, and Dan Werner, as well as his grandchildren, Robby, Zak, Kristina, and Dylan, and his great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind the many young people he took in as his own, treating them like family and offering them a place in his heart.

Known by many as Hank, but affectionately called "Pappy" by his girls, Henry was a man of contradictions—funny, grumpy, stubborn, but above all, loving and generous. He had an unmatched ability to make those around him smile, even on the hardest days, and his presence will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Henry, but take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his beloved wife, Shirley, the love of his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
