Hilda Lee Simpson

Hilda Lee (Waller) Simpson,98, of Vicksburg (Indian Lake) MI, went home to be with the Lord she loved on December 23, 2022. She was born August 16, 1924 in Earlington, KY.  She was married, May 2, 1942, to Joe W. Simpson, who preceded her death in 2003. Hilda was a homemaker who loved to read, sew, do word search and jigsaw puzzles.  She was an avid Detroit Tiger fan and rode her bike until she was 92. She was friendly, loving and kind to everyone she met. Her loved ones will never forget her courage, strength, and spunk!

 

Her loving survivors are 3 children: Deanna(Lee)DeTurk, Dennis(Shirley)Simpson and John(Lori)Simpson. 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

 

The memorial service will be on January 13, 2023 at Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene, 7520 East U Ave., Vicksburg, MI at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.  Burial is at Fort Custer military cemetery, Battle Creek, MI.
