Thank you, Laurie, we definitely had some great adventures. We always enjoyed you and your Mom, she became "Alert Bert" with our Camping Gang, and enjoyed it when she joined us for our get together at the Lodge at Northwinds.

Mrs. Madison was one of my favorite people in my neighborhood. I met her the summer before 4th grade, and at the time she was a stay at home mom. Her daughters were my best friends and the Madison family became an important part of my life. Mrs. Madison became my second mother and she watched over me and loved me. She had a great smile, infectious laughter, and always saw the best in everyone. She would let us put on talent shows in the basement, ride the horses, and go for bike rides, but we always had chores to complete before we could go. She taught us responsibilities and gave us opportunities. The Madison family took me on a trip with them to New York and Rhode Island that I will never forget. We had so much fun. There were six of us and we camped and slept in a pickup truck with a camper on the back for a week or more. When the Madison family first moved to my neighborhood they had a pet skunk named Flower. Not all mothers would have tolerated that. My mother and Mrs. Madison were great friends. They went camping, played cards and had big cookouts with the Boy Scout family. Mrs. Madison will forever have a special place in my heart. I know she will always be in heaven watching over her family, friends, and me. Rest in peace. I love you. Laura Johnson
