Jacob Alexander Beltz, age 32, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026. He was born on April 6, 1994, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of David Earl and Dawn Marie (Bontrager) Beltz.
Jacob was a hardworking man who found his calling in the skilled trades. After completing trade school, he became a Union Carpenter, taking great pride in his craftsmanship and the work he accomplished throughout his career. It was through the Carpenters Union that he formed one of his closest friendships with Matthew Bohm, a friendship that remained an important part of his life.

On June 11, 2022, Jacob married the love of his life, Breanne Lee Beltz. Together they built a life centered on love and family, welcoming their two sons, Jasper and Cooper, who became the greatest joys of his life.
Jacob found peace and happiness outdoors. Hunting was more than a hobby—it was his passion. He loved being in the woods, where he found solitude, adventure, and a deep appreciation for nature. Whether spending time in a deer blind or simply enjoying the quiet of the forest, those moments brought him lasting contentment.
Left to cherish his loving memory are his wife, Breanne Lee (Nielsen) Beltz; his sons, Jasper Oleander Beltz and Cooper James Beltz; his parents, David Earl and Dawn Marie Beltz; his brother, Zachary (Elizabeth Alwine-Fergeson) Robert Beltz; his grandmother, Wanda Yvonne Beltz; his niece, Madilyn Faith Marie Beltz; uncle and aunt, Joseph and Michele Burpee; cousins, Brendan and Jocelyn Burpee; his best friend, Matthew Bohm; mother and father-in-law, Paul Eugene Nielsen and Amy Marie (Fleetwood) Nielsen; brothers and sister-in-laws, Jena Elise Nielsen, Taylor Marie Nielsen, Caleb James Nielsen and Joshua Thomas Nielsen; and many extended family members and friends.
In accordance with the family's wishes a celebration of Jacob’s life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 31, 2026, with a time for visiting beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon.
Jacob will be remembered for his love of his family, his dedication to his trade, and the peace he found in the woods doing what he loved most.
