Jacquelyn Luplow

Jacquelyn Doris Wardlaw (Luplow) passed away peacefully on the morning of August 25th, 2021. She was born Jacquelyn Doris King on July 10th,1924 in Flint Michigan. Preceding her in death was her father Earl J. King, mother Alce Lucille Todd King and stepfather Kenneth J. Toohey, big brother Robert Orill King, his wife Betty, and nephew Robert Lee King. Jacquelyn graduated from State High School (WMU) in 1942 where she enjoyed being in the choir, studied dance, along with being involved in SUB-DEB, A social group for teens (High School Sorority). She went on to work for the wards at the State Hospital here in Kalamazoo as a caring aid. From there she worked at Bronson Hospital for many years for a cardiologist, Dr Carter Lowe. Jacquelyn finished out her career working for the Dean of students at Western Michigan University where she retired with Honor. Jacquelyn had five fantastic children whom were all her joy of life. Jacque Louise Carlson, James C Wardlaw the fourth (deceased), wife Kathy, John Bradley Wardlaw, (wife Brenda), Jay Patrick Wardlaw, (wife Dana (deceased) and Julie Ann Wardlaw whom we proudly adopted from Korea in 1961, she was nine months old. Surviving Grandchildren are, Terrill Leonard Carlson, James C. Wardlaw the Fifth, Kirsten K. Wardlaw, Ryan Robert Wardlaw, Maxwell Nelson Wardlaw, Alexandra Fae Wardlaw, and Mia Kim Venifro, (Julie Wardlaw’s Daughter). Great Grandchildren, Dylan Terrill Carlson, (wife Shaney), Tyler Reece Wardlaw, (JC) James C. Wardlaw the sixth, Jack Owen Wardlaw, Olivia Kay Wardlaw, and Jaxon Reid Wardlaw. Nephew, Steven King (wife Kathy), Neice Cincy King -Bradford (husband Sid). Jacquelyn was a Daughter, Friend, Wife, Mother and a Wonderful Human Being that will be largely missed!!
