James Russell Cline

Jim was born March 26, 1927, in Hartford City, IN to Harold Francis & Thelma Liona (Sample) Cline.  Jim, a World War II veteran, enjoyed a long and wonderful life, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023 @ MediLodge of Portage, where he had resided the past two years.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Ann Cline and an infant son, Joey Allen Cline.

Jim is survived by his two children: Debbie (Cline-Henderson-Bowman) & Randy Schippers of Three Rivers and Scott & Pat Cline of Schoolcraft.  Also, five grandchildren: David & Beth Henderson of Bristol, IN, Jennifer (Cline) & Greg Cabrera of Naperville, IL, Jessica (Cline) & Chris Izzi of Plymouth, MI, Joseph & Candice Cline of Orchard Lake, MI and Elizabeth (Bowman) & Chad Wright of Allegan.  Jim was blessed with eight great grandchildren, that he loved so much and was very proud of: Michael, Matthew and Maya Izzi, Carter, Cole, Emerson and Anderson Cline, and Addison (Little Jim) Cabrera.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place. A visitation and a Memorial Service will be held at the New Apostolic Church, 3600 W. Milham, Portage on August 9^th, 11:00 am visitation and 12:00 pm service. Burial will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta on August 9^th at 3:00 pm.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Apostolic Church of Portage at the address above, or Hospice Centrica, 7100 Stadium Dr, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 or MediLodge of Portage, 7855 Currier Drive, Portage, MI 49002.
