Jane Marie Perry

Jane Marie (Boltjes) Perry, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and devoted member of the Plainwell, Michigan community, passed away on October 13, 2023, in Allegan, Michigan, at the age of 61. She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on March 5, 1962, to her parents, Herman Boltjes and Betty Gillmor.

Jane's life was a testament to the profound impact of love, family, and community. She was a longtime resident of Plainwell, Michigan, and her presence in the lives of those who knew her will be greatly missed.

Jane is preceded in her passing by her father, Herman Boltjes and sister, Karen Coopwood.

Jane is survived by her loving husband, Mark Perry, whom she married on November 1, 1986, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Their enduring love and partnership served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Jane's dedication to her family extended to her children: Jacob (Holly) Perry, Alex (Stephanie) Perry, and Emilee (Andrew) Subacz. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Karson Perry, Carter Perry, Maddox Perry, Abbey Subacz, Otto Perry, Bennett Subacz, and Wes Perry, who were the light of her life. Jane was also a cherished daughter to Betty Gillmor and sister to Chuck (Pam) Boltjes and Jeff (Anita) Boltjes and a loving sister-in-law to Michael Coopwood. She held a special place in the hearts of many nieces and nephews.

Jane's life was marked by her love for her family and her deep commitment to the Plainwell Community Schools, where she dedicated 22 years of service. Her impact on the education and lives of the students and families she served will be remembered for generations.

Outside of her professional life, Jane found joy in simple pleasures, including swimming at the family cottage, cooking delicious meals for her loved ones, and embarking on adventures with her family, from Oklahoma to Northern Michigan and the Caribbean. Her most cherished title was "Nana," as her grandchildren affectionately referred to her. The love she had for her grandchildren was boundless, and the memories they created together will forever be a testament to the love and joy she brought into their lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Wings Home of Allegan, Michigan, a hospice organization dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care.
