Jerold David Boody

Jerold Boody, of Battle Creek, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the age of 81. Jerold was born on December 31, 1939 in Burlington, Michigan. He was the son of Lawrence and Dorothy (Burrett) Boody. Jerold is survived by his wife of 58 faithful years to Donna Jean Boody; his son David Boody and his wife Kendra, his daughter Tracie Schaffer, and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Brian Boody, Jason Boody, Megan Boody, Amber Boody, Miranda Schaffer, Zachary Schaffer, and Jeanine Boody; and great grandchild, Zoey Stanton; siblings, Bill Boody, Clifford Boody, Roger Boody, and Robin Moessinger; step siblings, Ann, Dave, Holly, Lynn and Rich; and many nieces and nephews. Jerold was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Ted Boody, Denny Boody, Pete Boody and Richard Boody. Jerold served his country in the Air Force Branch of the military stationed in Ice Land. He worked at the Battle Creek Gas Company until he retired at the age of 55. He enjoyed taking long trips with his wife on his Gold Wing motorcycle visiting 48 states. His skills were endless and could fix anything and never gave up even during the toughest times. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He always made time to help his family and friends and lived a full life. He was the rock of our family and someone we looked up to for help and advice. We will miss him more than he would ever have known. Jerry was my oldest step-brother. While I was growing up, he was always there with love when any of his family members needed him and was someone we could look up to. I enjoyed talking GWs with Jerold. I was surprised to hear of his passing and will miss him and his knowledge. Best wishes to those he left behind.
