Jo Ann Domaska, of Paw Paw formerly of Mattawan, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026 at the age of 93. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was born on August 3, 1932, in Harlan, Kentucky, the youngest of six children to William and Liva Caylor.

The family relocated to Michigan in 1942 where she later met and married the love of her life Richard “Dick” Domaska, for over 63 years. They were married on August 16, 1952. Together they raised two children and built a home together in Texas Township in 1967.

Jo worked hard and that was evident through her many years of service as a secretary and bookkeeper, and later, through her role in the deli department at Harding's Grocery Store.

Jo loved spending time with her family, playing cards, Yahtzee and cooking with her mom and sisters. Jo also enjoyed gardening and family picnics. She looked forward to traveling yearly with Dick to the mountains. She was also a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Jo will be remembered for her deep commitment to her family, her kindness, and the many ways she touched the lives of those around her. Jo always looked forward to Sunday dinners with her family; Tuesday nights when her grandkids would bring dinner and play Yahtzee.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband: Richard “Dick” Domaska; parents: William and Liva Caylor; great grandson: Nicholas Domaska; and four sisters: Etta, Geneeva, Mary Francis, Margaret, and one brother: John Caylor.

She is survived by her two children: Steven Lee (Kathleen) Domaska, of FL; Sandra Jo (David) Walters, of Mattawan; three grandchildren: Rachael Walters; Ashley Harrison; and Stephen Domaska; four great grandchildren: Jacob Domaska; Izabella Walters; Chase Harrison; Savannah Domaska; sister in-law Sharon Bolton (Robert) of Hastings, MI and many special nieces and nephews.

Jo has been cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
