Jo Ann Domaska, of Paw Paw, formerly of Kalamazoo, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026 at the age of 93. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born on August 3, 1932, in Harlan, Kentucky, the youngest of six children to William and Liva Caylor. Early in her life, her family relocated to the Kalamazoo, Michigan area, where she attended local schools and laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication, strength, and warmth.

Jo was married to the love of her life Richard “Dick” Domaska, for over 63 years. They were married on August 3, 1952. Together they raised two children and built a home together in Mattawan.

Jo Ann’s lifelong commitment to hard work was evident through her many years of service as a secretary and bookkeeper, and later, through her role in the deli department at Harding's Grocery Store. Those close to her remember her as a strong-willed and family-oriented woman whose hardworking nature was central to her character.

Jo Ann found great pleasure in spending time with her loved ones, engaging in card games, and sharing the delights of cooking. She was also a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She will be remembered for her deep commitment to family, and the many ways she touched the lives of those around her. Jo Ann Domaska’s legacy of love, perseverance, and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Richard “Dick” Domaska; parents: William and Liva Caylor; great grandson: Nicholas Domaska; and four sisters: Etta, Geneeva, Mary Francis, Margaret, and one brother: John Caylor.

She is survived by her two children: Steven Lee (Kathleen) Domaska, of FL; Sandra Jo (David) Walters, of Mattawan; three grandchildren: Racheal Walters; Ashley Harrison; and Stephen Domaska; three great grandchildren: Izabella Walters; Chase Harrison; Savannah Domaska; and many nieces and nephews.

Jo has been cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
