Joan Mardell Keegan

KEEGAN, Joan M. Portage She went home to be with the Lord Dec. 25, 2011. Joan was born Aug. 30, 1930 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Fred and Bernice (Brakeman) Walter. She married Harold F. Keegan Jr. May 5, 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1981. Joan graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1948. Surviving are 3 children; Jill Liby (Ray Liby deceased), Shelley (David) Steffey and H. Scott (Dori) Keegan, 6 grandchildren; Jason Keegan, Joshua, Michael and Matthew Sortland, Joel Keegan, Amanda (Nathan) Ambs, 2 great grandchildren; Hunter Ambs and Alyssa Ambs and a half sister Carol (Charles) Krenek. A sister, Mary Frances Myers preceded her in death in 1962. At her request cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or services.
