John “Jack” Ahrndt, who preferred to be called John, passed away on October 31, 2026, in Plainwell at the age of 89. He was born on April 27, 1937.

John found enjoyment in woodworking, watching old westerns, and following football. He appreciated the simple comforts of a good meal, especially mashed potatoes and goulash, and loved his coffee with half-and-half. He also loved trains and used to play guitar with his friend Ralph Gates.

He is survived by his daughter, Colleen Gregersen; granddaughters, Melanie Jepsen and Keara McIntyre; and grandson, Bo MacDonald. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Ahrndt; son, John Ahrndt; and grandson, TJ Ahrndt.

John will be remembered with love by his family, who will cherish his memory and the moments they shared.
