As a child I remember our family visiting uncle John and his family on Burdick Street. I have vivid memories of us kids having to go upstairs and sleep while our parents were downstairs playing cards, etc. In the winter time we sometimes went ice-skating on a ice rink that they had on their property. One of the things I remember most about uncle John is that he bought my sister and I chameleons. I remember that we had a little leashes around their necks and we could pin them to our shirts and they would run around. I dont think my mom was too happy about her brother buying those chameleons for us but it was one of my favorite memories. Rest in peace, uncle John.
