John Delmar Terry

John Delmar Terry Age 60, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2010 as a result of an automobile accident on November 11, 2010. John was born April 13, 1950 in Kalamazoo, MI He attended Portage Central High School and Anderson College in Anderson, IN. He was a member of the St. Barnabas Church in Portage. John is survived by his mother Laura Annabelle Terry, sister Phyllis (Rod) Derksen, several nieces and nephews, and also his Aunt Betty. He was preceded in death by his father Delmar Terry and two sisters. John enjoyed riding his motorized scooter around Portage. He often visited the Portage Senior Center, several stores and restaurants in Portage, including Subway on Centre Ave. John was proud to be a veteran. A graveside service will be at Ft. Custer National Cemetary in Augusta, MI on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 10:00 am. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers during this difficult time. We appreciate the friendship, help and patience of numerous people in the community. Memorials can be made to the Portage Senior Center.
