John Robert Wills

John Robert Wills of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the age of 88. He was born on April 17, 1933 in Groveland, FL the son of John M. Wills and Ruby Carmany.
John served in the United States Air Force and will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery of Augusta, MI on a later date. A memorial service is being planned for the spring of 2022.
John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife MaryEllen, children Kimberlee Mayes, Rose Vickery and Linda Keeler; his stepchildren Michael Moore, Larry Moore, Keith Moore, Daniel Moore, Kristine DeRyder and
Dennis Moore; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
John worked several jobs during his life after the military, including WKZO TV and DesignWare. He was an avid woodworker that had a special gift of turning scrap wood into lovely furniture that he shared with all who knew him.
John was always wearing a smile and his quick wit and pleasant personality touched anyone that had the pleasure to make his acquaintance. He will be missed by all that knew him.
