Joyce E. Harber

Joyce E. Harber, of Vicksburg passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the age of 94. Joyce was born on April 26, 1927 in Kalamazoo. She was the daughter of Allen and Nellie (Blue) Venhuis. Joyce went through Kalamazoo Public Schools. She met Lloyd Harber and they were married on November 7, 1947 in Vicksburg, MI. For 16 winters she and Lloyd enjoyed their time in Mission, TX. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. She will be remembered by her family as calm, caring and steady. Joyce is survived by two children: Norma Manley, of Vicksburg; Jim Harber, of Vicksburg; son-in-law: Richard Mays, of Otsego; four grandchildren: Matt and Josh Harber, both of Kalamazoo; Jennifer (Shane) Cassel), of Grand Rapids; and Rich Mays, of Scotts; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd; daughter, Nancy Mays; parents and one sister: Betty. Joyce will be cremated and no services are planned at this time. I send my deepest condolences to Jim, Norma and their families during this sad and difficult time of loss. I was very blessed to have had Joyce as a mother n law many years ago. We remained friends over the years and shared some wonderful visits and talks together. Her kindness and love she showed me will not be forgotten. Rest peacefully beautiful lady.:pray::heart:

Norma, I am so saddened by the passing of your Mother. I always enjoyed visiting with your Mom and Dad at two of their favorite hangouts - Meijer and BK. They are now reunited in Heaven enjoying their bogo sandwiches. May your family memories sustain you during this difficult time. Doug Stafinski
