Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Judith Fay Adkins, went home to be with the Lord peacefully at her home on August 20, 2026, at the age of 83.

Judith was born on November 11, 1942, the eighth of nine children born to John and Guinevere “Pat” Klinger of Delton, Michigan. She graduated from Delton Kellogg High School and went on to work for Bell Telephone Company before marrying Marvin M. Haven of Allegan, Michigan. They were happily married and raised their family of six children in Delton.

Throughout her life, Judith worked in numerous managerial roles, ultimately concluding her career as a Preschool Director at Living Water Fellowship Church in Kissimmee, Florida.

Following Marvin’s passing in 2007, Judith married Franklin Adkins in 2010. Together, they shared many cherished years. They made their home in Florida, while spending summers in Michigan so they could remain close to family. Judith and Frank enjoyed traveling together and spending time with his siblings. She also treasured her time as a snowbird in South Carolina with her sons and their families, a special season in her later years for which she felt incredibly blessed.

Judith was an avid gardener who took great pride in her flowers and delighted in watching hummingbirds visit her garden. More than anything, she treasured time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was lovingly involved in their lives. Always present, caring, and ready to lend a helping hand, she made sure everyone she loved knew just how deeply they were cherished.

Judith was also an enthusiastic sports fan, especially when it involved her sons and grandsons. She proudly attended their sporting events and loved watching them excel, including their accomplishments as state and national wrestling champions.

Judith was a woman of deep faith, unconditional love, and unwavering devotion to the Lord. Her faith was more than something she spoke about; it was reflected in her daily kindness, generosity, and love for others. She was a faithful pray-er who continued to share her faith and tell others about the Lord well into her 80s. Throughout her lifetime, she taught Sunday school classes, Bible studies, and small groups, investing in the lives of those around her.

Judith attended Valley Family Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where she served faithfully and cherished the friendships she found in her women’s small group.

Judith was preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin Haven and Frank Adkins; her parents; her sons, Todd and Paul Haven; and several siblings and a sister-in-law.

She is survived by her children, April Wedel (Charles), Craig Haven (Karen), Tim Haven (Abby), and Marvin Haven (Melissa); 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory and legacy of faith and love with them.

A celebration of Judith’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Valley Family Church in Portage, Michigan. Judy loved flowers, so wear something casual, bright, and colorful in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to ValleyGroceries, a food pantry that extends the love of God to people both spiritually and practically by providing free groceries to those in need. This was a cause that was especially close to Judith’s heart.

Judith’s legacy will live on through the many lives she touched, the faith she shared, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
