Kathleen Lipka

It is with great sorrow that our dear mother Kathleen Ruth Lipka sadly and suddenly passed away on May 01, 2024, at the age of 75. She was born in Battle Creek, MI and adopted by Donald and Virgina Hockett. She was raised in Parchment and was a lifelong resident of Southwest Michigan.

 She was an amazing mother and grandmother, who was always there for them. She was survived by two children, 4 grandchildren, and a former husband, and a long-term boyfriend. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who helped raise and was a part of her grandchildren’s daily lives.

She was fond of make-up and beauty products stemming from her time at the JCPenney makeup counter. She later worked for the Post Office where she retired after 20 plus years of service. She was an avid reader like her late father and was fond of true crime and Steven King novels.
