Kenneth Dever Moore

Kenneth "Ken" Dever Moore, 72, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026. He was born on January 13, 1954, in Hammond, Indiana, the son of Dayton and Hazel (Farrell) Moore.
Ken was a man who truly enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He loved fishing and golfing, and was an avid sports fan-especially when it came to Chicago teams. In his younger years, he played softball, bowled, and enjoyed a good game of chess. One of his greatest joys was attending his son's sporting events, faithfully supporting him from little league through adult recreational leagues.
He took great pride in his professional career, beginning as a traveling auditor for Sears before transitioning into retail management. As a Retail Flooring Manager, he oversaw multiple stores throughout Southwest Michigan, building a reputation for his strong work ethic and leadership.
Ken will be remembered for his love of storytelling and his ability to connect with others. He cherished sharing memories and conversations with family, friends, and anyone willing to listen.
On April 4, 2026, Ken and his beloved wife, Cecelia, celebrated 45 years of marriage-a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, James (Lisa) Moore; his cherished grandchildren, Milo and Ruby; his brother, Jeff (Susan) Moore; and his nephews, Mack (Char) Moore and Spencer Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Wayne Moore.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made in Ken's memory may be directed to the Loy Norrix Athletic Boosters. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation has taken place. A public time of visiting will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Ken will be laid to rest at Memory Lane Memorial Park in Schererville, Indiana, on a date to be determined.
