Kristine Rae Robbins, of Schoolcraft passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the age of 51. She was born on January 16, 1975, in Ashland, Ohio. She was the daughter of James and Linda (Knistoft) Robbins. Kristine’s journey, filled with vibrant energy and compassion, was a testament to the immense strength and heart she carried every day.

She was a graduate of Portage Central High School with the Class of 1993. While at Portage Central she was a cheerleader, part of the Ski Club, and on the women’s basketball team.

Kristine’s professional life revolved in sales. She brought her unique spirit and determination to the companies she joined. Along the path her work life took her, she enjoyed her years the most with Nielsen, part of the renowned Nielsen Media Research organization.

A true lover of life, Kristine delighted in painting and exploring various artistic mediums. Her art, often filled with splashes of color from her latest creations, bore witness to her creative soul. Whether creating art or simply soaking in the world’s beauty, she embraced the arts with passion.

Vacations by the beach held a special place in Kristine’s heart. She found peace and happiness with her feet in the sand and the sound of waves nearby. Those trips, more than anything, were where she felt most relaxed.

If you had the privilege to know Kristine, you would not soon forget her impact. Her family describes her as funny, outgoing, big-hearted, loving, smart, determined, beautiful, and possessing a well of inner strength. Her radiant smile and infectious laugh lit up every room, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed her path. She believed deeply in lifting others up, always sharing kindness in both small and grand gestures. One of Kristine’s greatest passions was her black 2007 Corvette, which brought her immense joy on the open road.

Yet above all, it was her daughter, Gwendolyn, who brought her a lifetime’s worth of happiness and proud moments. Gwendolyn was truly the light of her life, and Kristine never missed an opportunity to share how proud she was of her daughter’s achievements and the person she had become.

Throughout her journey, Kristine touched countless lives. Her legacy is one of warmth, strength, creative spirit, and great love. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all those whose lives she brightened just by being herself.

Though Kristine has left this world, the memories and love she has sown remain, a testament to a remarkable life lived fully and with an open heart.

Kristine was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Robbins.

She is survived by her daughter Gwendolyn, of IL; her father: Jim (Bona) Robbins, of AZ; life partner: Justin Popp, of Schoolcraft.
