WILLIAMS, Mrs. Leona Tobias Kalamazoo Leona WIlliams passed away on February 22, 2010, at Friendship Village in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born on January 31, 1919, in Decatur, MI. the daughter of the late Clair and Nina Simmons. She was married in 1938 to LaMar K. Tobias, until his death in 1991. She was then married to Harold Williams in 1995 who preceded her in death in 2001. Leona and LaMar owned the restaurant, LouMar's on W. Michigan Ave. until 1956. She was then employed by Gilmore Brothers as a manager of their food department for 12 years. Her last employment was with Swift & Company until she retired. Leona was a fun-loving, happy person, who enjoyed playing golf at the Elks County Club, fishing, hunting, bridge, and jig-saw puzzles. She was preceded in death by her brother, Loren; an older sister, Norma McGee; and a younger sister, Thelma Klinkers. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Tim) Lenderink, Connie (Jon) Brayton, and Marla (Bill) Felt; six grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
