Linda Kay Marker, age 78, of Kalamazoo, MI, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 5, 2025. She was born on May 25, 1947, in Grand Rapids, MI, to Harold and Geraldine DeWitt. Linda grew up in Lowell, MI, where she attended high school and met the love of her life, Carl “Doug” Marker. Together they built a beautiful life rooted in faith, love, and family.

Linda will be remembered for her servant’s heart, her giving spirit, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her kindness touched everyone she met, and her legacy of compassion and selflessness will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dennis DeWitt. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Carl; her two daughters, Jennifer Hines and Jodi Hawkes; and her cherished grandchildren: Chase Hines, Shelby (Ivan) Rhodes, Hayley (Michael) Kamps, Hannah (Julian) Torres, and Allison Hawkes. She is also survived by her siblings, Terry (Robin) DeWitt, Cheryl (Mitch) McNeal, Christine (Phil) Fricano, and Cindy (Dan) Bolhuis; her brother-in-law, Steve Marker; her special aunt, Connie Hagg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on January 24, 2026, at Spring Valley Church, 5240 Mt. Olivet Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49004 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Kairos Dwelling, 2945 Gull Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
