Lloyd Edward Miller

Lloyd E. Miller, of Vicksburg passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the age of 85. Lloyd was born on July 30, 1936 in Athens, MI. He was the son of Lyle and Ruth (Chapman) Miller. He attended Athens High School and graduated with the Class of 1954. After high school he went to work for over 40 years in Battle Creek for the Grand Trunk railroad. During that time, he worked his way up the ladder becoming Yard Master. On May 15, 1959 he married the love of his life, Sue Marcy. Together they had four children: Lloyd Jr, Doug, Tim and Jennifer. When Lloyd was younger, he enjoyed camping, mushroom hunting, and fishing. His family describes him as hardworking, family oriented and a proud father and grandpa.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sue; four children: Lloyd (Marsha) Miller Jr, of Schoolcraft; Doug (JoAnn) Miller, of MD; Tim (Kim) Miller, of IA; Jennifer (Chris) Gray, of Schoolcraft; nine grandchildren: Morgan Miller, Dr. Derrick Miller, Owen Miller, Kiaha Gray, Aiden Gray, Sarah Miller, Sam Miller, Koertney Miller, and Abby Miller. He is also survived by his two sisters: Arlene (Robert) Orchel, of Fulton; and Donna (John) Perkins, of Scotts; one sister-in-law: Carol Miller, of Fulton; one brother-in-law: Gary Marcy, of IL and numerous nieces and nephews. Lloyd is preceded in death by his brother Harold Miller and sister Dorothy (Leo) Voss and his parents Lyle and Ruth Miller.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11am at Factoryville Bible Church, 33650 Factoryville Road, Athens, MI. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service beginning at 10am. A burial will be held at North Fulton Cemetery.
