Marian Kay Burson

Marian K. Burson, age 84, passed away at her home in Mesick, MI on December 28, 2023, under the care of her good friend Tammy and Hospice. She was born July 17, 1939, in Kalamazoo, MI to Charles E. and Aramathea “Army” B. Chapman.

Marian graduated from Schoolcraft High School in 1957. In 1965 she married Neil K. Burson, and together they operated Minnie’s Sunoco Station in Schoolcraft in the 70’s to mid 80’s. Upon retiring they moved to Mesick.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents; her 2 brothers: Marlyn and Ronald; her husband Neil and step-son Dennis Burson.

Surviving are Dennis’ wife: Peggy, her step-daughter Dianne Fredericks and her step-sons: EJ (Lois) Burson and Douglas (Ruth) Burson.

At Marian’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or memorial service. A private burial service at Schoolcraft Township Cemetery will take place at a later date.
